Visit the Hartman Arboretum
In addition to our regular seasonal events, the Hartman Arboretum invites you to join us every Thursday morning during our Master Gardener volunteer sessions for a firsthand experience in gardening and arboretum care under the expertise of our amazing volunteers. Upon request, we are also available for private tours which allowing you to explore our beautiful grounds at your leisure. We look forward to sharing the wonders of the arboretum with you!

This is off Big Cynthiana Road (Indiana State Road 66) just north of Diamond Avenue. The German Township Booster Club is just up the road from us; follow signs for the Hartman Arboretum on Spirit Trail and come around on the gravel drive. Parking is on our grass lot on the left side of the driveway, across from our red Information Center building.
Visitor Guidelines and Accessibility
We ask that you follow all staff directions and signage about areas that are available to visitors. There are several private family homes on our property, and we ask that you respect their privacy by refraining from going near the houses. If in doubt about an area, please ask a staff member!
There are toilets and trash cans available on site. You may bring pets on a lead provided that you clean up after them and yourself.
Our paths and visitor areas contain grass, gravel, and wood chip paths, and many spots are uneven and change with the weather. Our site is not wheelchair accessible and may not be suitable for those who cannot walk long distances. Golf cart tours may be available on a case-by-case basis; please ask about this option when scheduling a visit with us.
